Sharon Takade began photography in the early 1970's but has only recently begun to focus her efforts on documenting the details around her. She trained in entomology, computer sciences and scientific illustration. She has worked in entomology laboratories, science libraries, consulting firms, telecommunication, federal government, and a natural science interpretive center. Some of her photographic work is part of a rotating photographic display of plants and animals conservation area visitors might see on their hikes. She has participated in the Kansas City Society of Contemporary Photography 4-Square and Current Works 2017 exhibits.
